Are you classically traditional, or a lover of bold contemporary colours? Start by defining your colour theme to help you select the right decorations for your tree. At Merryhatton Garden Centre we have the fantastic selection of decorations whatever your theme - glass baubles in a range of colours including gold and silver, with matt, sparkling or glittering finishes, and lots of different shapes and sizes.
Step 3: Create the perfect ambiance with Christmas lights
You’ve already come a long way if you have chosen your decoration according to your colour theme. But the festive ambiance is not complete without lights. Whether you’re looking for warm white LEDs for a cosy touch, bright white LEDs for that icy WOW-effect or one of the new multi-colour palletes, we have a great selection at Merryhatton Garden Centre.
A helpful hint from our experience – check your lights BEFORE you wrap them into the tree!! Plug in your lights to check they’re all working properly and since LED lights are not hot to handle, that makes it easier to see what you’re doing when putting them on the tree. From the top, go around and around until you reach the bottom of the tree. Place the lights a bit randomly and some more deep into the branches to create a real natural look. And that’s your tree lit!

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree puts a smile on everyone’s face. But it’s almost a waste to have such a cosy and warm ambiance only present in one corner of your home. At Merryhatton Garden Centre you will find all types of decorations for inside and outside your home. Have similar themed tabletop trees appear all around the house, decorate the front door with a handmade wreath in the same colour theme as your tree or accessorise your furniture with cushions and throws in the same style.
